Kolina Sheng is a collaborative pianist from the Washington D.C. area. She has worked and performed with singers along with string and woodwind players. Ms. Sheng also has experience playing for large ensembles: she has accompanied several choral groups including the Men’s Chorus and combined University Choruses at JMU. She has been a rehearsal and performance pianist for opera productions including Puccini’s La Bohème, Gilbert & Sullivan’s Patience (Bunthorne’s Bride), and Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Telephone. She also has experience with musical theater repertoire.
She holds a B.M in Collaborative Piano from James Madison University, where she studied with Dr. Gabriel Dobner and Dr. Lori Piitz. Ms. Sheng’s other interests include singing, dancing, traveling and sightseeing, learning languages, painting, and reading.
