Miranda Lansberry is the Director of Youth Choruses, overseeing all youth performing ensembles. She began her tenure with Fairfax Choral Society in 2014. During this time, she has conducted Da Capo, Lyric, Treble and Concert Choirs, as well as taught several levels of musicianship. Currently, she conducts the Concert Choir, the most advanced treble ensemble, and teaches Concert Choir musicianship.

Outside of FCS, Mrs. Lansberry is the Director of Choruses at Justice High School in Falls Church, VA. Throughout her tenure at Justice High School, Mrs. Lansberry has cultivated a thriving choral program, inspiring students to strive for excellence and fostering a strong sense of community. Under her guidance, the choir has achieved remarkable success, with students consistently selected for prestigious regional, state, and national honor choirs.

Mrs. Lansberry holds certifications in the Kodaly method, Conversational Solfege, and Somatic Voicework. She is deeply involved in the Kodaly community, having served as President of the Virginia Organization of Kodaly Educators. The Kodaly teaching philosophy incorporates folk music, age appropriate and sequenced curriculum, and the use of solfege to develop strong musicianship and the inner ear, as well as a lifelong love of music.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Lansberry has resided in Virginia for almost 25 years. She is married with two grown children and two dogs. She is also deeply involved in the music ministries at Annandale United Methodist Church.
