These Terms and Conditions govern your use of fairfaxchoralsociety.org and the information and services available through the website. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or its transaction services.

About the Website

Fairfax Choral Society (“FCS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides information about performances, choruses, auditions, educational programs, donations, and related activities. We work to keep the website accurate and available, but content, programs, and circumstances may change.

Tickets and Events

Tickets may be sold through FCS or a third-party ticketing provider. FCS has selected AudienceView as its ticketing and donation service provider. Prices, fees, seating, admission requirements, and event-specific conditions are provided on the relevant event or ticket page and at checkout.

Some performances listed on the FCS website are produced or ticketed by partner organizations. For those events, tickets are not sold or administered by FCS. The ticket seller’s or presenting organization’s terms—including its policies concerning fees, refunds, exchanges, postponements, and cancellations—apply to the transaction.

If an event page or checkout page contains terms that conflict with these general Terms, the event-specific or transaction-specific terms will control for that purchase.

Unless FCS states otherwise for a particular event, ticket sales are final. If FCS cancels a performance, ticket holders will be offered a refund, an exchange for a future FCS performance, or the opportunity to convert the ticket value into a charitable contribution. Instructions and applicable deadlines will be provided to ticket holders following the cancellation. For partner-produced events, the presenting organization’s cancellation and refund policies apply.

If a performance is postponed or relocated, FCS will notify ticket holders and explain whether tickets will remain valid and what exchange or other options are available.

Student, child, complimentary-ticket, and other admission categories are subject to the eligibility requirements, availability, and conditions stated on the relevant ticket page or at checkout. Programs, artists, repertoire, venues, dates, or times may change.

Auditions, Registrations, and Youth Programs

Submitting an inquiry, audition, or registration form does not guarantee acceptance, placement, enrollment, financial aid, or participation. Program-specific requirements, schedules, tuition, conduct standards, and agreements apply in addition to these Terms. For participants under 13, a parent or legal guardian must submit the child’s information or authorize its submission. For other minors, a parent or legal guardian should submit or supervise the submission of information and provide all required permissions and agreements.

Donations and Payments

Online donations and payments may be processed by third-party providers, including AudienceView or another provider identified when you make the transaction. Review the amount, purpose, any recurring-payment selection, and the terms shown before completing a transaction. Where a link directs you to PayPal, the PayPal User Agreement also applies.

Recurring donations continue according to the schedule selected at checkout until cancelled. Donors may request cancellation by contacting office@fairfaxchoralsociety.org or by using any cancellation option provided by the payment processor. A cancellation will apply to future payments and ordinarily will not reverse a payment already processed.

Questions should be sent to office@fairfaxchoralsociety.org as soon as reasonably possible. Refund or correction requests are subject to applicable law, the transaction terms, and relevant provider procedures. Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances; consult your own adviser.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the website, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful or infringing material, or use automated methods in a way that unreasonably burdens the website. Please provide accurate information when making a request or transaction.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website text, graphics, logos, photographs, recordings, videos, and other materials are owned by or licensed to FCS and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and print reasonable portions for personal, noncommercial use. Other copying, publication, distribution, modification, performance, or commercial use requires permission from FCS or the relevant rights holder, except where permitted by law.

Third-Party Services

The website may link to or embed third-party ticketing, payment, video, mapping, calendar, analytics, advertising, and other services. Their own terms and policies apply to their services; FCS does not control their availability or operation. Relevant information includes:

Availability and Liability

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, FCS disclaims warranties not expressly stated in these Terms and does not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content. To the extent permitted by law, FCS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing Law and Changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. We may revise these Terms, with an updated date and any additional notice required by law. Changes do not override rights or transaction terms that already apply.
